Sam Diamond

let's move along which one do we want let's do this one let's see that All right, starting off is the one we're talking about.

Peter Falk is Sam Diamond.

He speaks with a gritty, rapid-fire, street-level monotone delivery mimicking the classic 1940s film noir.

That's basically who he is.

and and then you realize after a while it's like so many of the impersonations we did back then were not actually very accurate to the original inspiration but they were very similar to what impressionists do so when you're when you're doing your bogey impersonation you're really doing like you know frank gorshin doing bogey or rich little doing nixon you know you just exaggerations yeah the actors back then had Whether Bogey was playing a good guy or a bad guy, he was always Bogey.

Always.

I'd go so far as to say that Peter Falk is so good is just so perfect that almost Sam Diamond just sort of becomes, and again, I think that's why they made a whole movie on him, he becomes like an actual character that you would like, I would like to see more of that character.

We do.
