You have the legendary Bill Nighy playing his father.

Incredible casting.

the supernatural elements rubbed up against the traditional grounded mystery elements like sandpaper.

Viewers felt that the story was less organic because it violated its own established parameters.

So even with a powerhouse performance from Sam Claflin, which the article praises heavily, by the way, the structural experiment of mixing genres didn't really pay off.

Not fully, no.

Sadly, I don't get a chance to seeing, like, a lot of incredibly beautiful...

I did s- I did meet Sam Claflin, but h- he was actually pretty lovely when I met him, so I didn't get a chance-

But I think the Ty West thing is fascinating.
