I'm your host, Paul Fritschener, and this week's episode is one that I'm telling you, if you told me seven or eight years ago when I decided to really commit to this full-time, if I was sitting here doing an episode on law and as it relates to college basketball, I probably would've said you were crazy.

But it's one of the most important interviews probably I'm gonna do of this off-season, because it's understanding everything that's going on right now, and it's with Sam Ehrlich, who's a law professor out at Boise State.

And Sam and I have been constantly messaging back and forth over the last couple of months, trying to kinda get on the same page of everything that's going on.

I've been running questions by Sam for a while to make sure I'm, you know, saying the right thing before I tweet things out.

I don't wanna say anything that's leading anybody astray.

And I, I'll tell you what, Sam's been a huge resource in my corner, and I thought who better to bring on to explain what's happening right now, specifically in this Oak- Ohio court case, and will these players be eligible? Will Filip Ovrepin and will MJ Collins play? And Javonte Campbell just committed to Cincinnati over the weekend, a huge pickup, defensive player of the year in the MAC this past year for Bowling Green, a massive addition to that roster.

I'm tired of reading tweets like this came out a half an hour ago.

Sam Ehrlich, the Tennessee court.

Just tell me what this means.

The Tennessee Court of Appeals has issued an order staying the injunction granted to the plaintiff.

That doesn't work nationwide.

You don't just have carte blanche." And so essentially what's happening now is, uh, this is from, uh, Sam Ehrlich, who's a, a Boise State professor in, uh, their College of Business.

He says, "Class of 2022 athletes who exhausted their four years of eligibility this past spring are now ineligible unless they are a part of their own lawsuit or injunction." What does that mean? It means it's a free-for-all.

It means it's gotten even more confusing.

Got to get that paper.

All of this stems from our conversation with Sam Ehrlich yesterday who said that if the NCAA would have just given the class of 2022 its fifth year of eligibility when this all came out instead of arbitrarily cutting them off...

They wouldn't have to go to the courts to get that relief.

As part of the relief, the relief went further from these judges.
