It does look like from a few years ago, and I get that if you're Sam Blaskowski, it's not really a post you want to be making.

Like, you're gonna make this announcement, then your name's gonna be in the headlines, people are gonna see this, and they're going to link it to this racist behavior from a few years ago.

But at the same time, if you do come forward and say, "Look, this is the context behind it.

That's absolutely not fair, and it is very, very possible for an athlete to take these progression steps in their career and have a pretty awesome breakthrough in a short time.

I'm thinking of this amazing guy here in 2026 named Sam Blaskowski.

He was a division three, that's the lower division of NCAA track and field competition.

Very small schools, very low-key in comparison to division one, where we see the athletes winning and then going pro and going on to the Olympic team.
