Sam Allard

How did that come about? And even more so, I mean, what's it, I've been around the world with him about three or four times.

What's it like working with Sam Allard? He's a

great kid, great lad.

So yeah, it's easy.

Uh, their top wicket-taker, Ethan Bamber, he I think it's appropriately claimed the final scalp to finish with five for 52 and match figures of nine for 94.

Uh, the victory enough to earn the hosts their first title since 2021 and their fourth in the 21st century.

They suffered their only defeat and won just twice in the opening eight matches.

Just two wins in eight matches in the first half of Red Ball Cricket, but they then won five in six games, and three of those were wins all on the road, back-to-back-to-back, uh, victories against Hampshire, Glamorgan, and Essex.

Welcome to Following On with Sam Allard and the former Surrey all-rounder Cam Still on the back of the first one-day international, uh, between South Africa and Australia in Durban.

The series is off and running, and it's off and running with a South Africa victory.

They were asked to bat first.
