And I went red.

And my girlfriend at the time, Sally Phillips, whose dad's a tennis player, a very successful tennis player, was high up in Wimbledon.

That's why we were so close to the royal box.

I was like, if this will touch, I'll do it twice.

This week, I'm delighted to be joined by Sally Phillips.

Sally is an English actor, writer, and comedian, producer and director, and an executive producer at Captain Dolly.

She's best known for TV comedies, including I'm Alan Partridge, Jam & Jerusalem, Miranda, and Veep, the Bridget Jones films, and shows like Taskmaster and QI.

But she's mostly a comedian, I think, most of the time.

Even if you

It was gorgeous.

I mean, Sally, what a great job.

And also, I mean, I just, it's a quote, of course, from another novel, but when Tim Spall says time passes, I just, you know, it's such a beautifully measured performance because it was such a hard thing we were asking him to do to kind of play this patriarch who has this sense of the coming avalanche, the coming revolution and how he's going to change.

So that's a favorite one too.

And then of course, anything by Sally Phillips, you know?

Yes.

You know, it's undercutting everything that's come before.

But it was brilliant because it was the first time that I'd seen a show that had an all female, not an all female cast, but a heavily female cast had Fiona Allen, Sally Phillips cast.

and the amazing Dune McKeegan, Sarah Alexander, and then a couple of guys, Darren Boyd and Kevin Cleric.

And it was just, it was so brilliant to see women being funny in a stupid way.

And then two days later, he rang me and went, listen, this is a bit weird, but do you want to come and do the sister again? And I was like, what? He was like, Lucy can't do it.

I was like, yes, yes, I do.

And I loved doing that because I, got to work with sally phillips

Why is it not still running? I don't know what happened.

Sally Phillips was in it.

She's gone on to be a big success as a result, I think.
