Salford City Council

I'm al- often in awe with the aspiration that some of our clients are trying to apply the use of AI.

The most notable one at the moment is Salford City Council-

... which, you know, we'll, we'll talk about over the coming months about what they're doing.

including in Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and London.

And most recently, he had four years as the Chief Exec of Salford City Council, leading the council to some of the highest levels of performance in the North West and recognition in 2024 as City of the Year.

and LGC's best place to work.

He's nationally recognised as a leading voice in local government and has a track record of major delivery and regeneration, inclusive growth, public service reform, and improving council services.

which essentially outlined a charter giving dignity to workers at work and all the rest of it.

Likewise, we've had support from, and a letter from Salford City Council as well.

So that's two councils down, I think we have 10 or eight to go, I think it is.

So yeah, so that support's been brilliant.

And five young people from Salford have gained first-hand experience of working in manufacturing after visiting industrial packaging manufacturer Werritt's Greater Manchester operation.

The youngsters visited Werrett's Earlham facility after completing a five-week manufacturing course through Salford City Council's Build Salford program, an initiative that aims to encourage young people to pursue apprenticeships and other routes into employment by connecting them with local employers.
