We'll look to cooperate on matters related to space and defense, which could include infrastructure sharing as well as climate resilience.

We've got to have climate resilience.

It's being fortified as a result of having the U.S. as unreliable partners.

This is the first official visit by a Canadian prime minister to Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.

In a joint statement with President Emmanuel Macron, Canada and France announced increased cooperation in developing satellite technology in space launch systems and nukes.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday backed a proposal for Canada to become the European Union's first associate member as he and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney move to deepen strategic ties spanning space, defense, energy and business.

much in favor of that agenda of closer ties with the European Union as an associate member of the Union, as the president said, and as a full-fledged member of the European community, Macron said in French while standing alongside Carney.

It's billed as a show of solidarity in the face of Donald Trump's efforts to impose his will on North America.

Prime Minister's Sunday trip to St. Pierre and Miquelon will be the first time a Canadian prime minister makes an official visit to the small archipelago of 5,800 French citizens, according to the French government.

And on the other end, there are two tiny, tiny little itty-bitty islands, right? There's an island called Mecleon, right? And then there's Lagarde, Mecleon, Lagarde, and Saint-Pierre.

One, two, three.

Tiny, tiny little islands that you were like, oh, look at these cute little Canadian, French-Canadian islands.

The war ended in 1759, if I'm not mistaken, and the treaty was signed in 1761.

Those islands were the only thing France retained.
