Specifically beneath the high altar of the crypt of St. Mark's Basilica.

Basilica di San Marco is the name of it.

But I have, if you're tuning in on YouTube, I have the little city skylines.

uh, version, the architecture skylines version of Venice in front of me, you know, complete with the Rialto bridge and St. Mark's Basilica.

I would imagine this huge new diorama would not only, it says neighborhood village, and we know we're going to get a gondola that goes with it and some canals because it's Venice.

So you have to have canals, but But I really think it would be interesting to give us a bigger version of St. Mark's Basilica to get us a little bit of the Rialto Bridge.

But I'd really like to see the Doge Palace with this as well, at least a facade part of the Doge Palace.

I just think it would probably be a miss on LEGO's part if they didn't do that.

And then can't forget about panacea at the end, but yeah, Like I said, I just really appreciate you coming along.

But if you go to St. Mark's Cathedral, which is a fantastically beautiful church.

It's a Catholic, uh, Roman Catholic church built in the Byzantine style, which is all unique.

You walk in there and you can see the floor basically undulates.

This ensures that the manuscript is not subjected to any unnecessary shocks during transport.

The surviving pages of Mark's Gospel are divided between St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague and the treasury of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice.

The main part of the original manuscript, which no longer contains the Gospel of Mark, is kept in the National Archaeological Museum in Cividade del Friuli, says exhibition curator Martina Dlabajová.

Now, the same building can be both a basilica and a cathedral.

But, uh, we closed St. Mark's Basilica for one hour.

Such a little building.

Well, we didn't see it together but we did talk about it together, sorry, inside of Monreale.

That's about as much mosaic decoration that you find inside of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice and as I like to describe it, we're talking about nearly an acre of surface covered in mosaic decoration.

It really is extraordinary and I r- am very much looking forward to talking about those mosaics but before we do, let's talk about what this building actually is, right? And that's actually go all the way back to the origins of the structure or what is left of it today.

And I should mention by the way that it is an incredibly well-preserved ancient building.
