It was a little bit harder than maybe the average St. Clement parishioner that's young, that's a young adult to find people that were experiencing the same things as me, hitting the same life milestones as me in our 30s.

mean 21-year-olds are different than us?

And some of them are really, really great examples that are known by everybody.

Others are known by very few, and yet they had an incredible imprint on the lives of others.

And so we thought it would be great to bring a group of people in this series who we believe here at St. Clement in our city here in Chicago continue to transform communities in Jesus's name.

So today we are overjoyed to have Haley with us.

Thank you for having me here.

And you know what I really like about that is, and I think connects to just something you said a few minutes ago, which is this whole idea of focusing on Jesus.

We always talk about here at St. Clement, talk about it, the podcast at Magnified Ministries quite a lot.

But I always say we only will preach Jesus because there's so many topics and so many wonderful things that the church does, right? Services and care for the poor and pro-life movement.

I mean, we do incredible things as a church.

But we have to be intentional about that, and I worry sometimes that churches more broadly, they get structures in place, and frankly, the people who end up filling those roles look a lot like us, whether that be age-wise or gender-wise or whatever the case might be.

And so a young person walks in and says, well, I don't look like that, and I don't have that level of experience or qualification, so I guess I don't have a role.

But this is where I think I want to give a big shout out to St. Clement in terms of what I've seen every time I come is that they feel like this parish feels like, hey, we're so glad you're here.

Where are you at on your journey? How can we help you? How can we help you take the next step? We're not necessarily asking something from you, but we're totally invested in you and your own growth and holiness.
