Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act

A- and whilst I think in some ways when he is a little bit dismissive about it, he is trying to reassure people that he is not worried, therefore do not be worried yourselves, but it can come across as being dismissive to people, as almost people want to know, and they might look at it as being a little bit arrogant or taking it seriously in a way that they feel it seriously impacts them.

I also think that it is hurting the Republicans that they have not passed the SAVE Act, which is something-

Yeah

... as basic as voter ID for elections.

We've seen the Supreme Court brought in multiple times into the executive order cases seeking to, again, the administration desperately seeking to get the Supreme Court to rubber stamp what the administration wants to do.

We've seen efforts to continue to try to pass the SAVE Act, which would, again, radically create this huge new bureaucracy to require citizens to repeatedly prove their citizenship over and over and over again, to dig up their citizenship documentation and show it to an election official anytime they move or change their names, amongst other things.

And then a few weeks ago, we saw the president play footsie with this idea that he could declare a national emergency for elections and somehow seize federal authority over that.

Of course, we've heard claims that the Justice Department is recruiting about 1,000 monitors to observe things at the polls this year.

The states are doing a remarkably good job keeping non-citizens off their voter lists.

And they continue to do that with the better data that they have.

The SAVE Act, the president's been pushing that for over a year.

It's no closer to passing today.

And and Adam is like a young liberal.

And they were debating the Save Act about voting.

And halfway through it, Adam said to me, like, well, it's clear that you agree with his stance, you know.

Like that.

Yeah.

[laughs] All right, we have a new five, everyone, the SAVE Act, followed by, uh, January 6th.

Well, you know, here's the thing.

So here's the piece I just penned.

In a master's class on controlling the narrative, the American left has so convincingly gaslit the political class into believing that the Save America Act would be viewed by their constituents as voter suppression, more GOP leaders are creating more convoluted stories to justify why they oppose making sure that only US citizens vote in US elections.

The most hysterical is Alaska's Senator Lisa Murkowski, who took the floor of the Senate chamber to tell her colleagues that if the SAVE Act passed, the residents of the remote Aleutian community of Unalaska would be forced to fly roughly 800 air miles to Anchorage to obtain an ID, citing costs of $1,100 to $1,300 for a one-way ticket, plus lodging and transport.

So specific was this that in his latest undercover video, James O'Keefe flew to Unalaska, where he visited the Unalaska DMV public library city hall post office, and all said... that all you had to do was come in and apply.

You know, you, you made a good point too.

Why is Ted Cruz worried about a stupid sports bill for, you know, colleges versus the SAVE Act, America?

Right.

You know?

Hey, Ted, pass the damn SAVE Act.

S- you know, fix the filibuster-

What does a congressperson have to do facing the midterms? He's got the headwinds of the Save America Act Senate.

So everyone's mad at the congresspeople who voted for the Save Act, but it won't pass the Senate.

So it's somehow a congressman's fault because that'll help Hakeem Jeffries get a majority.

and they've got the situation with the gas prices.

Otherwise, I mean, you have to jump through...

The SAVE Act is like the worst.

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

The SAVE Act, just its very existence continues this myth that our election process, our democracy is at risk because there's all kinds of fraud.
