Safari Sevens

But, um, yeah, it's, it's good that they're, they're sort of still giving back to rugby though and playing for their clubs I think, even though they're all Olympians.

Um, like obviously Harry McNulty's out in, um, Kenya now doing the, uh, Safari Sevens with Shogun.

So, you know, it's, it's, they're, they're not thinking they're too big time for anyone or anything.

They've got great attitudes.

Welcome to Women's Rugby Rundown 267 for October 5th through the 11th.

Argentina won the South American 7s and the Kenya Lionesses won Safari 7s.

In 15s, it was a quiet week for tests and the World Rugby rankings held steady, but the WXV Global Series returns this weekend.

Off the field, World Rugby is cracking down on hip drop tackles.

Looking ahead, we do have some more Sevens on the horizon.

The Safari Sevens in Kenya runs October 9th to the 11th with a women's competition featuring three Kenya sides along Tunisia, Uganda, and the Costa Blanca Barbarians.

Lit Sevens is running a one-day Sevens camp in the United States on October 10th at Liberty North High School in Liberty, Missouri for ages 12 and up.

It costs $150 and includes a full day of coaching and development, a Lit Rugby Sevens tank top, lunch, and photos with Olympian coaches.

I mean, that thing that we had before, I don't think made sense to man, beast or child.

So having a Scotland seven, and they're getting to go to the Safari sevens.

I mean, who's bankrolling that jolly? But, you know, Freddie Owsley's coming up the road to play sevens, to special it, and a lot of us think that he's...

a sevens player but actually he's never trained specifically for sevens so that's a good thing because he'll be he'll be raring to go I do wonder what the point of it is but it's going to give Edinburgh and Glasgow Academy players the chance to go and compete at a level which you know and then they punt out Matt Fagerson saying yeah I got a lot out of the sevens experience I'm not convinced we can point to that for Matt Fagerson but you know it
