Boy, you know, if you like films that are nothing but metaphors, you're going to love this particular film.

I honestly, when I was done watching it, I had to look up on the Internet to try to find out what it was that I just watched.

It's certainly not a conventional horror film, but it was interesting.

Which is just basically a pill filled with human ashes.

I feel more inclined to rewatch Saccharin, but I think as an overall experience, Buddy, because I think Saccharin also runs too long and it's like long, long.

Today, we're discussing Saccharine, or as I call it, Saturine, the 2026 body horror film that is now available to stream on Stan, following a successful run at some film festivals, including the Sydney Film Festival.

Now, this flick was directed by Natalie Erica James, who had previously helmed Apartment 7A and 2020's Relic, which, yes, we covered in Season 2 of the podcast, and, yes, the link to that review is in the description.

So, I was lucky enough to snag the very last... for the film festival showing of Sakurin a few months ago.

I saw a lot of stuff online saying that this is considered a body horror movie.

And I think that that's what body horror a lot of the times, if it's, I hate to say it because I think I guess now I'm just saying this is a skip.

If it's a bad body horror, I think that's what it relies on a lot of the time is shock value.

And it

kind of seems like this just a lot of it depended on making you feel disturbed and shocked and gross and uncomfortable.
