Sabrina Wittmann

The side in second place, Victoria Cologne won 3-0 against Ingolstadt there on 15 points from seven games.

Ingolstadt have announced that Sabrina Wittmann has been sacked following that game of course a real shame Sabrina Wittmann when she took over at Ingolstadt in 2024 became the first woman head coach in the top three divisions of German football and did a really good job over the years as well for Ingolstadt there are probably some people out there who are going to disagree with that not for problematic reasons i should stress though i'm sure those people exist too but saying that Ingolstadt have wanted and have pushed for promotion over the last few years that has been a stated goal of Audi to get Ingolstadt back into the Sveita Bundesliga and Wittmann wasn't able to deliver that to be honest I don't think the Ingolstadt squad have ever been obviously good enough to fight for promotion they've always been a mid-table level squad and that's is what Wittmann delivered and has been delivering so far this season.

So not the most obvious sacking in the world, I think.

To be honest, I don't know how many managers are going to be able to go in there and get that Ingolstadt side to play significantly better.
