How many hooks did you have

out? I was running three Sabikis and one lure.

Like we do over here real thick.

So I slowed down the boat, turned back around, uh, First drop with a Sabiki, I think I had like three pinfish on it.

I was like, push, drop the troll boat.

Dude, we bailed them.

Hard tables.

Like trout.

Every drop with a Sabiki, we were getting, like, minimum three pinfish.

Crazy fish.

Like we do over here real thick.

I mean, we're not dropping the Sabikis unless we can see them on the screen.

A proper, a bait ball or a...

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And the bonito that are around have been as finicky as albies, which is odd.

I don't know if it's because at this point, the bonito bite, what was it, four years ago when we had all those juvie bones that we were getting on Sabiki rigs in Cape Cod Bay? Now all those fish have grown up, and I think they've now seen every single epoxy jig, resin jig, and albie snack that's ever been thrown in the ocean.

Yeah.

Maybe they're just getting smarter or maybe it's just because they're keying in on really small bait.

It's like cheater bait.

They use Sabiki rigs, which is basically a bunch of small hooks.

But in America, they'll have like regulations on how many hooks you can use.

In China, they'll have like a hundred hooks on one ring.

Yeah, it's been completely loaded the past two trips I went out there.

Plenty of bait, you know, close in to Sabiki and get bait for fishing, close in right by the sandbars.

And then as you start to head out, even throughout the day, there's been schools of bait even deep out, you know, 30, 40, 50 feet deep, you know, That's really, I think, has played a big part of the bite starting to pick up so good.

A lot of the fish we've caught, we've actually caught them around these bait schools that we found deep.

It's just real thick with bait, and it's a great time to get out there.

Very easy fishing, too, as long as you've got good weather.

you know, you can Sabiki up some live bait, put it on a King rig or put it on a circle hook and go out there and do some trolling and you're going to catch some fish.
