Sabbatical

You know, I used to be in steering committees, my old practice, and I kind of had to take a little hiatus when I had this interlude, we'll say.

Pseudo-sabbatical, working sabbatical, we'll say.

And I wanted to be able to do that.

So I wanted to be able to help advance the way we treat patients.

So that's really where we started talking about this.

And an article was published recently.

I wrote an article about it.

And so we've got, yeah, we've got a lot to cover today in the show.

Yeah, and it's interesting, isn't it? Because Neither of us were expecting to have that conversation.

And to wonder if the value was actually just to do with a moment in time or whether actually this is something that lives through and we should circle back to it.

And I'm with the latter.

Since we talked and since I read the article, I'm of the opinion that there are many people out there, and I don't think this is confined to education, that need to have something built into their work process which allows them to see a medium and a longer term and allows them to ask creative questions about what would facilitate

eventually wrote more, but I'm trying to finish off, and a lot of that is currently on the Patreon as well.

At the time, it was called Notes from My Sabbatical,

and

it's my foray into fiction, into fantasy, because it's totally not kids off at a magical, a magic academy in Scotland.

Um, you know, we're poking, I'm poking fun at a lot of the fantasy genre and that is up there trying to get some feedback to, um, um, to get that finished off, smoothed out and, uh, submitted and published as well.

Well, I was gonna, yeah, I was gonna ask you is like, do you, do you ever write fantasy? Well, it's good to know that you're, uh, you're dabbling.

Uh, the little bit of fantasy under my, under one of my pen names, uh, um, uh, The book right now, the title I'm using right now is called Sabbatical in Spellcraft.

And that's full novel length.

So I've started watching this guy on YouTube called Sabbatical.

Yeah.

And the, the guy must speak every language under the sun, so he just travels all over the world, and he goes to all these shithole places, like in Uganda, these little bitty villages that are just out of control.
