S.B. Ballard Stadium

But yeah, um, it looks like they're coming up with a more solid plan and, um, on a, on a Zoom with those developers yesterday where they were kind of like answering questions and things, you know, if you wanna talk about the timeline, Matt Rhone did joke, like, "If this takes 10 years, then I'm not gonna have a job in 10 years." So like they want this to be kind of, you know, a, a few year process where we start to really see things happening in and around the stadium.

Well, speaking on the dynamic seating on the APC too, that was actually a thought I had this weekend or this past weekend while I was at ODU where, you know, I don't know how many of our listeners have been to ODU Stadium.

It's really neat.

Shane may be gone.

And, you know, since you have a kicker and a punter here, I do want to also call out an overall kicking game I thought was strong considering the wind.

I was telling one of the linemen last night, I remember we played in Nor'easter or something like it against JMU back at, you know, Foreman Field.

And I vividly remember punting out of the end zone with, like, a 25-mile-an-hour crosswind.

So...

But I do want to ask real quick, because this is a night game.

Night game, 6 o'clock, SB Ballard Stadium.

I'm curious, what kind of energy are we getting? Are we talking sellout? Are we talking 12-man type energy? What kind of crowd are we getting?

So it looks like it's close to sell.

All right.

This week, Saturday, 6 p.m., our friends from North Carolina, East Carolina will be visiting SB Ballard Stadium.

The line is not out at this time.

They have kind of dominated this series.

And if you are a Virginia Tech fan, hearing that, that next up for your team is a game against Old Dominion, that should give you the heebie-jeebies, because Old Dominion in recent years has handed Tech multiple embarrassing losses is another one coming.

ODU began its 2026 regular season with a 31-10 win over Norfolk State, an FCS program at SB Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday evening.

ODU's new QB1.

is redshirt sophomore Quinn Hennicle.
