Did you know Coach Drew Mahan much? And what was your conversations like with him when you were thinking about coming here to compete?

No, I didn't actually know him very well.

We talked my junior year at one of the home junior high meets and he was like, like I started talking to him and I was like, wow, he's like really smart, like the smartest coach I'd ever talked to.

And I think that's really what pulled me in the most is like he knows so much about running and like the same as Isabel said, like he like cares about you as a person and not just like an athlete, like school comes first before everything.

And I think that's really important.

How did you feel like you fared?

Um, I definitely did better than I expected to, but I was like literally like crying right before the start line, like as well can say that I was, but I was like freaking out cause I like, I didn't, I had no clue what I was doing.

I had been to one cross country meet like and watched it before that.
