But is there anything that you look at that makes you say, "Okay, well, I might need to do this a little bit different"?

Yeah, and I think that comes down to, like in our area, feed source.

You know, this year where there's not a lot of pasture and there's not a lot of grass, so then you've gotta look at if you're buying, you know, sorghum-sudangrass hay or if you're buying alfalfa hay, um, if you can get distillers or if you can get beet pulp.

We've got lots of beets in our area, but this year, you know, there hasn't been a lot of beets 'cause we haven't had any moisture.

Um, so are you gonna be able to get beet pulp? So that's kinda the first, but then, you know, you look at, okay, how are these cattle gonna perform on the wet distillers versus dry distillers, um, different things like that.

So yeah, like you said, keeping records.

Um, and my husband's really good about just keeping everything in his head.

So Riley, any, any last things you'd like us to know kind of as take-homes from your operation or what you've learned through this process of, of keeping more in-depth records?

How do you decide which of those classes to bring in? And, and maybe just describe kinda your population at your operation so we get a view.

Um, so I credit all that to my husband.

Um, he order-buys cattle, and then he's in a sale barn pretty much every day of the week.

Um, so he sees what the market is every day.

He sees it changing, and he sees, you know, the class of cattle people are wanting.

Um, and then he c- sees where the value is, you know, where he can buy, um, you know, a certain weight class of cattle, put some weight on them and resell them or, um, you know, like those older cows you love this year, you know, pairs and baby calves are bringing a lot of money.

So then you could buy a bred cow that maybe had a long toe or something that they pull off a big draft, and we could still have value in that cow.

So how do you manage that part of the operation to make sure that they're meeting some of their nutritional needs when you bring in maybe a feeder bull versus a very young calf?
