Ryan, could you tell us more about what you do and your work and how you got to be where you are?
0:22
I'm an ICF coach with Ryan Watts Coaching, my company.
0:26
And I work with high performing, successful leaders who are sort of feeling the weight of leadership.
0:34
And I think this comes from my own experience.
0:36
I sort of I was thrust into this leadership position and I read all these books and probably have a hundred leadership books, everything from John Maxwell, from Jim Collins, good to great and everything in between and beyond those parameters.
0:50
And I was like, okay, I know every framework out there.
0:53
And where I got stuck with leadership was this idea that, and the best way I can put it is an internal negotiation.

Like he could have got Roadrunner, but he never tried it again.
12:27
So from like the 30,000 foot view, like what's the kind of just the high level business plan that you guys are looking to execute on the hyper projects?
12:35
So for us, Stephen touched on it earlier, but we look at the landscape when we started in 2020 and we still kind of think about it like this today is, you know, we want to go to really strong markets, oftentimes secondary markets that we think are underinvested.
12:49
You know, we watch supply closely.
12:51
You know, we want to go to those markets that have good fundamentals.
12:54
you know, good population growth, good job growth, and then, you know, really target investment there.
12:59
And once we get down to, you know, site selection within a market like that, we've got a whole set of demographic criteria that we benchmark against.
13:06
And we compare that against all of our other communities now that we have some some good results.

29:54
Can you talk about how the pros and cons and just in general and why you guys are doing it?
9:40
How do you think that shows up in real life?
9:44
The way that it shows up, and this is almost...
9:46
This is a pattern, right? Is that they're, they're sort of going through this rumination where they're, they're tending to this internal negotiation.
9:55
A lot of their energy's going there.
9:57
But then they look outside themselves and they're like, "Okay, but everything's okay, so this must...
10:02
I, I must just learn how to ignore this," right? And so what happens is they get to a point where when they actually can resolve that tension that's inside or, or move towards it, right? I'm, I, I, I work with a coach.
10:17
I don't know that that's ever gonna be fully resolved in me or anybody.

16 MINS LATER

25:53
And then what happens on the other end of it? Like, what's, what's the aha moment or that trigger that helps them? I know it's kinda different for everybody, but I mean, with, you know, any instances in the past where you've, you've experienced that with somebody?
