Did you like growing up in a ministry home? Or did you resent it?

I liked it.

I mean, I feel like I felt we had special insight into the ministry.

I remember times going out to eat with missionaries or guest speakers and getting to sit around the lunch table at Ponderosa Buffet and listen to these guys just like share war stories.

My dad and these other ministers and just like talk about ministry and laugh and talk about crazy situations.

And I think...

it developed in me and my siblings just a healthy mindset of ministry, that there are these powerful, supernatural encounters.

Just letting God be God.

Like a large percentage

... conservatives and there are Republicans who do bad things, who do sinful things, for sure.

We, we know that.

But on the left, there is a sin and a commitment to wickedness codified in the Democratic Party platform.

And so what am I talking about? There's a big difference between on the right, people who do bad things, versus on the left, uh, in the party's platform, which is their written document which expresses what they're committed to, what their agenda is, what they're trying to accomplish, they have written out in there things that are objectively no room for debate sinful and un-biblical that a Christian could not support in good conscience and be faithful to Jesus at the same time.

So some of the, the big things would be, like, a commitment to abortion, funding abortion-

Mm.

And in their mission statement, they've got, "We are committed to sin." So when a Christian votes for a Democrat, they are voting for abortion, LGBT, critical race theory.

Yeah.

Patriotism for... is a, a word that's very similar in definition to nationalism, and nobody treats the word patriotism like a scary label.

So everyone's comfortable saying, "I'm patriotic." Sure.

And when we say that, we tend to mean, "I love my country.

I'm proud of my country, and, and my culture and our history." The only difference in the term patriotism and nationalism is a small difference.

It's like one phrase.

Yes

... of God in such a heavy way that it was almost hard for me to just even get back into church [clears throat] in between, you know, watching this live stream.

But it was just so clear that God opened the heavens and poured His Spirit out on this gathering.

And if you think about it, going all the way back to the founding of America, there is no way that there has been a gathering like that where the top government officials have explicitly declared the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And we know many of the founders were Christians, but I think back then there was such a Christian society that they didn't really feel probably the need to get into all of that.

But Charlie was a devout believer in Jesus, as Landon said, to the point that you could not talk about the man without talking about the man's savior.

... what is good, and we call good good, uh, this is not dangerous.

So I, I have gotten some responses on X and from some friends that, "Hey, it's not been a great week for our church.

We had leaders leave.

We had, uh, people get mad that I even posted about what happened to Charlie Kirk," pastors have said.

And I think that is honestly a reflection of leading up to this moment, pastors have not done what was necessary to put a, a flag in the ground and say, "We are for life.

We are standing against abortion.

It's an evangelism strategy." Response.

It's a great framework, and I totally agree.

Um, you can go all the way back to the Old Testament prophets, and they couldn't shut them up, so they killed them, and that's what the enemy does.

He steals, kills, and destroys.

Whereas like as Christians, we're children of God, and we want other people to repent of sin and turn to Jesus and be saved and adopted into our own spiritual family.

So we look to like persuade our opponents.

We look to change their minds.
