Like, I hate seeing the, the, the same gimmick, same bit over and over and over again online.

You know, how many times are we gonna see a Ryan Strome empty net meme? Like, move on, you know?

Um, but, uh, yeah, I, I think Kreider, it's gonna be an interesting storyline to see where he does end up because, like Rupper said, you are getting a guy who helps you.

Subtractions, guys get ready, it's a long list [laughs].

Mason McTavish, Jacob Trouba, Olli Zellweger, Russ Johnson, John Carlson, Rocco Grutas, and Ryan Strome who left, uh, before the trade deadline.

Storylines going into the season, when will Cutter Gauthier sign and for how much?

I know Ryan Strome's not long for this lineup.

I know he's not long for this team, and I know he's an older veteran, but I think a veteran presence beside Connor Zeri could do something similar to what we saw with Nazem Khadri.

Different skill set, of course, between those two centers, but a veteran beside Connor Zeri to help him uh, in the national, it could be what he's looking for and what he can play with.

I'm just saying it's not that hard to get him in the top nine on the wing.

Like, if he played on a line with Strome and Sharangovich, is that enough for you to say he had a chance to establish value in the middle? Or are you like, "Oh, he didn't give anyone to play with."

I would, I would say-

'Cause we're kind of back to the Sam Bennett thing, where it's like, "Well, you never played him in the top nine at center." It's like, yeah, 'cause he was never ba- better than Backlund, Lindholm, or Monahan.

There's a lot of placeholders here.

Spread it out.

Like Frost is a placeholder, Strome is a placeholder, Farabee's a placeholder, Sheremkov is a placeholder.

Backlund.

It's just the forward group that obviously needs some work.

Virtually all of Calgary's veterans believed to have been on the trade block have been [chuckles] traded, but there are still notable Flames veterans out there who could be dealt at any moment, and those veterans are centers Morgan Frost and Ryan Strome, both of whom are UFAs next summer.

But Conroy shouldn't be rushed into doing something in haste.

He has the long term in mind, and the good news for Flames fans is that Conroy is taking his time to get it right.

You can spread that out a little bit too, right? So with all of that, Like, I don't mind giving those guys opportunities on the fourth line when there's an opportunity that they can move up a little bit further.

But when you have player X on your fourth line, you know, like, it's not great because he's on the team now, but like Ryan Strome, you know, like I can, if they move on from Ryan Strome, Okay.

You can, with all due respect, you can replace that pretty quickly.

So, yeah, those are the types that you don't really need a lot of that on your roster.

Artemi Panarin and Frank Vatrano each had a goal and two assists, and the Rangers beat the Penguins five to two to even up the series.
