Ryan Seacrest Foundation

The Ryan Seacrest Foundation (RSF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to inspiring today’s youth through entertainment and education focused initiatives. RSF’s first initiative is to build broadcast media centers, named Seacrest Studios, within pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media. RSF’s aim is to contribute positively to the healing process for children and their families during their stay by developing these centers to bring an uplifting spirit to the hospital community. We believe access to multimedia experiences will bring patients exciting and stimulating adventures to encourage optimistic thoughts during treatment. It is also important to us to reach out to the community and involve students from local journalism schools by providing them with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in broadcasting, programming and operating a multimedia center.www.ryanseacrestfoundation.org

Many of you know who he is, and, uh, we're gonna be checking in because there is a big competition going on right now, and it's called The Top Host.
James CousineauHOST
2:41
The Top Host, for those of you who are unaware, is actually an awareness and a fundraising event for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.
James CousineauHOST
2:50
Now, the foundation is quite unique, and what they do is they take these studios that they build, mobile or, you know, uh, recording studios for podcasting and then information and entertainment, and they actually open them up in children's hospitals and hospitals throughout the United States.
James CousineauHOST
3:10
Now, this is quite unique because it gives something interesting, something new, something exciting, and something that's relevant to the younger generation right there in the hospital when they are fighting, uh, many challenges, uh, to their health and their lives.
James CousineauHOST
7:38
And the reason why I bring this up and I'm so, uh, so excited about it is because they are holding the Top Host competition.
James CousineauHOST
7:46
Now, as of 7:00 PM this evening, Pacific Time, they announce the top 20 in the different, uh, in the different categories.
James CousineauHOST
7:56
And after we play this video clip from Ryan Seacrest explaining about, uh, the competition and about the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, uh, then we'll take a look and see, because I am actually in the running for the Top Host, uh, award, which is a, uh, opportunity to appear on Ryan Seacrest's podcast on, uh, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, as well as, uh, being involved in a six-episode podcast with iHeartRadio, produced by the amazing teams at iHeartRadio and Ryan Seacrest Productions and, uh, however else that works.
James CousineauHOST
8:33
I don't know the exact details on the production end, but it's a six-episode deal to, uh, to go on, uh, iHeartRadio with a podcast.

Shawna PetersHOST

True, live performances have that energy that might be hard to capture on screen, but still, it's a nice alternative.
