Ryan Jespersen

Those are the folks I wanna honor today.

And, um, you know what? I, uh, was lucky enough to be invited to talk on Real Talk Podcast with, uh, Ryan Jespersen.

I, I don't think it's called podcast, just Real Talk with Ryan Jespersen.

[laughs] Sorry.

I'm so used to saying the word podcast.

So if you look for Real Talk with Ryan Jespersen on September 30th, you can listen to the full episode.

It was so great because I was actually with two other folks, so Jessica, who is also Dene, and George Lee, who's a settler, because they have another podcast called Unsettled: Journeys in Truth and Conciliation, Building on the 94 Calls to Action.

So I, it was really great chatting with them because Jessica was a Sixties Scoop and so she's also reclaiming her Dene roots.

So a, a slight drop in demand may not be the end of the world and may not be justification to kill a project like this, but what's the outlook? And, and, and what about the route? It's not the route.

I mean, this is a win for Premier Danielle Smith, no matter which way you slice it, right? But if you disagree, hop in our live chat, leave a comment on our YouTube episode, send us an email to talk@ryanjespersen.com.

We welcome opinions from across the spectrum on this.

I know that not everybody's thrilled about the pipeline.

Real talk starts right now.

Here's Ryan Jespersen.

[upbeat music] Real Talkers, today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

It's a day to remember the children who never came home, uh, to listen to survivors and, and to reckon honestly with a history that is still very much part of Canada's present.
