He also talked about how they haven't hit their peak yet and also gave a lot of praise to Ryan Howard and how much he's improved since Keaton Jones arrived in January.

Funny for the 19-year-old to say that about the guy who's been in the program for a long time.

Um, it's not gonna be nickels easy, but I'm hoping we make it look a little bit closer to nickels than what we saw versus Washington State.

Um, I'll also continue to dial in and watch the offensive line, hopefully take another step forward.

Um, going back and watching the extended highlights, I, I still think Gus Howard, or G- Gus Hawkins, excuse me, and Ryan Howard really struggled with some of the edge rushers that we saw versus Washington State.

I don't think Tulane's edge rushers are as good.

I've been so impressed with the job that Mike Schmidt has done with this offensive line.

You know, we – We talk a lot about Ryan Howard, and he got a lot of headlines and a lot of media publicity last week, and rightfully so, and then went out and did a really good job.

But, you know, then on Monday, Colin Klein just raved at his presser about Charlie Adams and just how much he has improved since January.

And he also mentioned Chase Duarte there, too, and those other guys, you know, whether it's, you know, Gus Hawkins or Keaton Jones or Dylan Villarreal, those guys have been rock solid.

He's b- he's done a really good job so far in his raw experience at center.

Nice kick out block by Ryan Howard.

Keaton Jones gets just enough of that linebacker that really springs it.

The linebacker's forced to go under him, and I think that was, that was key.

Um, I mean, awesome, awesome kick out block by him.

Just destroys that defender.

Ryan Howard and Lincoln Cure on the left edge there, good double team block.

Um, and Lincoln does a good job of working up to that second level defender coming off of that, that double team and, and does just enough to get that guy to slow his speed down, um, thinking he's about to get blocked, and then he's unable to make that play.

But I'm not going to say that.

I'm going to say Ryan Howard.

I don't think he played great.

He had some good moments.

It had to be someone on the offensive line.

It's either Ryan Howard or Gus Hawkins.

Oh, no, I'm going to change it to Gus Hawkins.

This is not a shot at Ryan Howard, but I do think Gus Hawkins, there is a world where Gus Hawkins is still a multi-year starter.

For K-State, let's see, three of the five offensive linemen played every snap.

So Ryan Howard, Gus Hawkins, Dylan Villarreal, Geron Tibbs, and Avery Johnson, those five played every snap on Saturday for the starters.

because then we know that Jacob Knuth got in for a little bit Josh Manning 67 and then you get Charlie Adams Keaton Jones at 44 and then you get to the clearly defined hey group of these guys are going to play for us we trust them they're in the mix and that would be All the tight ends, they range from Lincoln Cure's 30 to Garrett Oakley's 40 and then Will Ancio in between.

Joe Jackson and Rodney Fields in that same neighborhood.

But Dylan Villaruel has been easily the best of the offensive linemen.

That's worked out for him.

And then I would say Ryan Howard, second best behind Dylan Villaruel.

Yeah, I would agree with that.
