Denan KempHOST

You could argue top three most important players.
Denan KempHOST
16:41
And to think that they've got Toby and also Ryan can play there as well, that's another five years.
Denan KempHOST
16:46
And both of them are signed until 2030.
Denan KempHOST
16:50
And what do you reckon they got them for, boys? 500, 600 maybe? Worth 700?
Denan KempHOST
17:23
So for me, absolute...
Denan KempHOST
17:25
I'm trying to think of a team that, as you kind of, you said as well, like a spoon team that is this exciting and has this many young guns in it.
Denan KempHOST
17:32
But yeah, Toby Couchman and Ryan Couchman for me, I just think that they are absolute finds.
Denan KempHOST
17:37
And I, I wanna give the, the Dragons credit.

Um, and I think, I think Nikorima also was 10 in the bin, um, off memory.
Tyson JacksonCORRESPONDENT

Uh, Ryan Couchman earlier this year, uh, on Jermain Hopgood, four, four matches for a, a ruptured ACL.
Tyson JacksonCORRESPONDENT

Um, si- similar, I, I think b- with a ruptured ACL and Nathan's injury, it's a similar time of recovery.

I don't know if the suspension's come through yet, but he will definitely be rubbed out.
NozHOST
33:58
Mate, earlier in the season, Ryan Couchman got a four-week suspension for his hip drop tackle that ruptured Jermaine Hopgood's ACL.
NozHOST
34:06
Mate, this is in a similar vein.
NozHOST
34:07
I don't think we're going to be seeing Phoenix until next season.
Andrew VossHOST

Once charged, there has to be a suspension in line with others this year.
Andrew VossHOST

Now, I go back to Jermaine Hopgood, round three, Ryan Couchman, sin binned in the game, incident 28th minute, Jermaine Hopgood, knee reconstruction, never plays again this season, copped a four-game ban.
Andrew VossHOST

Now, I don't write the rules.

don't think i agree with my like it wasn't the worst hip drop tackle the nrl has ever seen like i don't think it was that egregious being banned for four games i think is off the back of the cleary injury yes i don't think it was the it wasn't the nature of the hip drop drop tackle that you know the reason why he was banned before i also think they should have just suspended the sentence it happened in 2022 not that taylor may got selected for the grand final but his suspension was suspended until the next year he was available for selection in the grand final
Mitch JamesHOST
26:19
it's an interesting one i was listening to nrl 360 on my run this morning and basically there there there seems to be a reflection of the punishment from the injury received yes there was i believe uh one of the couchman boys ryan couchman ryan couchman did a hip drop tackle um on jermaine hopgood did his acl that was four weeks we saw izzy katoa do it on mitch kenny which was a 19 week injury i believe and that was two weeks so it seems like the upper end of it whether it's like a catastrophic injury like we've seen with the acl uh and on clary on the weekend that seems to be the four week threshold something in the middle will be two week threshold and then you look at victor radley who did a classic hip drop tackle, just a penalty.
Mitch JamesHOST
27:12
So I feel like the NRL need to get a little bit more clarity around those rules for mine.
Mitch JamesHOST
27:17
But yeah, I tend to agree with you, Jacob.
