Ryan Braun

A-Rod was the number one villain.

But then Ryan Braun kind of became the second guy during that thing.

I was like, alright, remember Ryan Braun also got a 65 game suspension during that.

I feel like that's how, that was Garrett Cole during Spider-Tac.

It's like, everyone was focused on Bauer because he was, you know, the personality and all that sort of stuff.

Yeah, you hang out in the clubhouse a little bit after the game and see what happens.

But, you know, the most famous example of that for the Brewers is 2008, where they beat the Cubs in that CC Sabathia, Ryan Braun game, and then had to wait around quite a while, if I remember right, for the Marlins and Mets to see what happened with the Mets game.

And then wasn't it old friend Wes Helms who hit the homer that put the Marlins up, and the Brewers clinch, and they came all piling out of that dining room.

Uh, and that was quite a bit after the game.

As a member of the Milwaukee Brewers, I always think of it as kind of a passing of the torch.

Braun and Yelich conspiring together, really kind of the last great year that Ryan Braun had.

And he and Yelch both get the job done.

Well, think about somebody like, uh, Christian Yelich, where since he came over to the Brewers, they've made the playoffs all but one of the years since he's been in a Brewers uniform, since 2018.

Think about that for a second, right? Think of all the years that Ryan Braun didn't make the playoffs, all the years that Robin Yount didn't make the playoffs.

Yeah.
