Ruxolitinib

Yeah, you know, there are three of us here because there are three different drugs which are in development in that particular space, all in the phase three development.

And so I presented Selmexor, which is XPO1 inhibitor in combination with Ruxolitinib and was compared with Ruxolitinib with placebo.

In that particular phase 3 study, there was randomization 2 to 1, and the co-primary endpoint was SVR35, which is spleen reduction by 35% by week 24, as well as absolute reduction in total symptom score.

So, this study showed a significant improvement in SVR35 endpoint, but didn't show reduction in total symptom score.

So this is an option before phototherapy for appropriately selected patients.

Right, and it ties in nicely with another paper in this issue, the Turin Registry Study on Superresponders to Topical Ruxolitinib.

That's from Fiascanaro and colleagues in JAAD.

They looked at 315 adults and found about 25% were superresponders at 3 months, defined as FVASI-75 plus TVASI-50.

Um, then we have a, a few very, uh, formulations of interferon and... which is an injectable medication.

And then we have Ruxolitinib, which is a JAK inhibitor.

Uh, it's currently approved as a second-line therapy.

Um, and it's really great for those patients that have some symptoms.
