In Ruth, chapter two, the Bible says.

Salmon was the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab.

Boaz was the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth.

Obed was the father of Jesse.

Jesse was the father of King David.

And we've become part of it.

Just like Ruth... a Gentile became part of Israel.

When she married Boaz and joined the Jewish faith, Rahab, a Gentile, became an Israelite when she left her Canaanite background and became part of Israel.

So in the Old Testament, a Gentile could be part of Israel.

We are Israel, and we've become part of it.

Just like Ruth, a Gentile, became part of Israel when she married Boaz and joined the Jewish faith.

Rahab, a Gentile, became an Israelite when she left her Canaanite background and became part of Israel.

So in the Old Testament, a Gentile could be part of Israel, and in the New Testament, A Gentile can be part of Israel.

She's the, the ultimate one who's, who's mentioned obviously.

But we have the first person mentioned is Tamar.

Then the next person mentioned is Ruth.

And the next per- next woman mentioned is the wife of Uriah, who we know is Bathsheba.

He says, And Salmon, the father of Boaz, by Rahab.

And Boaz, the father of Obed, by Ruth.

And Obed, the father of Jesse.

And Jesse, the father of David, the king.

Rahab is Boaz's mother.

For all of my listeners who love the story of Boaz and Ruth, Rahab is Boaz's mother.

And here's what else I need you to catch because this is the whole reason we're here today.

Hebrews 11.31 says, By faith, Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.
