eagles themselves were the backing band for her yeah first started out and then of course they got their own thing going uh so you know you can count them in there as well jackson jackson brown yeah absolutely it was a

whole it was a literal community of the southern california artists that were all just kind of intermingling and just kind of playing off each other.

Okay, we're going to bounce around a bit here, but I just want to mention one of the things that I enjoyed learning from this new documentary was that not only did you bring James Taylor to the world and for all the great production work that you've done, but because of the fact that you listed the names of the musicians on the back of Sweet Baby James, you gave a whole career to all those great musicians that were on there.

So we have that to be grateful for as

well.

But we had the, uh, privilege, and we were surprised to, uh, interview the, the immediate family.

Uh, Lee Scott Waddy Wachtel and Russell Kunkel, all the background players, you know, all of a sudden they're on my Zoom screen.

So I'll never forget doing the session.

It was the first time I met Russ Kunkel and Lee Sklar and Dean Parks, right? We're all playing on it.

Yeah.

they uh i went down there and russ was so he's like you know how coverage has odd number of bars he's like why can't you just straighten it out and i was like because it just doesn't it's not what i want it to do and david was like don't it should be the way it is you know we had this big argument about trying because it's like It's got bars of two all over it, right? Now that's like super, super common.
