Now, the Big Ten shared replay footage showing a Western Michigan player making contact with the ball with one second remaining.

The MAC accepted the explanation, with Western Michigan President Russ Kavalhuna saying he found no evidence of impropriety, but he's still not satisfied.

He told reporters over the weekend, quote, "I don't think the process is as good as it could be." He pointed out that broadcasters and replay officials weren't looking at the same evidence.

NBC's John Fanta addressed the confusion Sunday on air, saying the official time of the game is kept by the Big Ten and, quote, "Our cameras are not the official arbiter of timekeeping."
