Rum Sodomy & the Lash

Um, I don't have an extensive history with The Pogues.

I know I really liked Rum Sodomy & the Lash.

Do you like all three of those things equally?

[laughs]

I- it's, it's the two albums that everyone else owns.

You can go one more earlier and do, uh, uh, w- uh, Red Roses for Me.

And what I love about Red Roses for Me and Rum Sodomy & the Lash is that on both of those, you can actually hear the beer tray.

Uh, Spider Stacy, in addition to the tin whistle, also played beer tray, which he smacked against his head rhythmically.

I mispronounced them purposely.

anyway I couldn't I thought I had like the Clancy Brothers singing it or the Irish Rovers or the Chieftains it turns out I don't have any of those but I do have the Pogues on the album Rum Sodomy and The Lash which are three things we always associate with Dolly Parton

especially The Lash it's actually not on this LP but it is on the EP that was released with this LP which I have somewhere I can't find it and on Spotify it's part of this album so it'll be on the playlist
