If there's a mention of hell, you will seek Allah's protection from it.
Ali Al-BarghouthiHOST
3:34
Then he went into ruku' فَجْعَلَ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ So this is what everybody says in their ruku' right? So this is one of the names of Allah عز و جل That occurs most frequently in your life In addition to the name of Allah عز و جل Allah And also Ar-Rab And also Al-A'la, you mention Al-Azeem frequently.
Ali Al-BarghouthiHOST
4:04
So it's a name that you should be familiar with or the next time that you mention, you should remember what it means.
Ali Al-BarghouthiHOST
4:12
And also, The Prophet ﷺ, when he encounters difficulty or stress, he would say, So he glorifies Allah Azzawajal.

Ali Al-BarghouthiHOST
23:49
And that is, if you want to think about it, one of the great lessons of Salah, if not the essence of the Salah.
Ali Al-BarghouthiHOST
23:58
Which is to submit yourself to Allah Azza wa Jalla in ways where you are humble and Allah is the greatest.
Ali Al-BarghouthiHOST
24:05
So in particular, in that ruku' you bow like people bow to their kings and to their masters.
Ali Al-BarghouthiHOST
24:14
But you know that you are never to bow to any human being.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
23:46
He'd recite a surah.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
23:48
And then before he goes into ruku'ah, he'd recite, And then ruku' and every rak'ah he'd do this.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
23:56
He'd finish what he wants to read.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
24:03
The companions started picking him up until he did this for Al-Maghrib, Al-Isha, Al-Buhar, Al-Asr, Al-Fajr.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
24:35
We've never seen anything like this before.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
24:38
So then the Prophet ﷺ said to them, go and ask him, why was he doing that? So they went to him.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
24:50
They said, the Prophet ﷺ asks you, why were you reading Surah Al-Ikhlas after every surah just before your ruku'ah? Why? He didn't even take a second to think he already knows why he's doing this.
Abu Bakr ZoudHOST
25:06
He said to them Because it describes the most merciful.
Belal AssaadSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER

And it increases.
Belal AssaadSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
45:50
Some people, my brothers and sisters, wallahi, as soon as they start salat, and they're at home, their family's watching them, they have to remind them to do ruku'a, bowing.
Belal AssaadSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
46:04
You know why? Because they get so into salat that their iman is so high, they get into their salat, and they're so into their recitation, they forget to make ruku'a, they forget to go down, they're just standing there in a trance.
Belal AssaadSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
46:17
And I tell them, let's say they're praying night prayer.
Belal AssaadSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
46:20
Fajr is almost going to come.
Ahsan HanifHOST
2:05
And Allah then commanded us to pray.
Ahsan HanifHOST
2:07
to make ruku'ah, to make sujood, to do all of the acts of worship and all of the deeds of righteousness that we may achieve prosperity and how this nation as well as the nations that came before who believed in Allah and followed the Prophet all of them are known as Muslims so Allah commands us to establish the salah, give the zakah and to seek Allah's protection So we begin with insha'Allah ta'ala in today's episode, the 23rd chapter of the Quran, Surah Al-Mu'minun or the believers.
Ahsan HanifHOST
2:42
And it consists of 118 verses and it is a Makki Surah.
Ahsan HanifHOST
2:47
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala begins this Surah by saying, Prosperous are the believers.

15 MINS LATER

Ahsan HanifHOST
18:18
And that is because the salah consists of both.
Ahsan HanifHOST
18:21
There are apparent things that you have to do, you have to make sure that the time has entered, you have to dress appropriately, you have to be in a state of wudu, you have to face the qiblah, you have to make sure where you're praying is clean.
Ahsan HanifHOST
18:31
All of those things are apparent things and then fulfill its obligations and fulfill its conditions in terms of making sure that you stand, you make ruku' , you make sujood, all of those things.
Ahsan HanifHOST
18:40
But there is a spiritual component also and that is the khushu' and Allah mentions both.
Ahsan HanifHOST
1:46
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentioned that He is the one subhanahu wa ta'ala who chooses His messengers from the angels and from the humans.
Ahsan HanifHOST
1:52
And Allah azzawajal then commanded us to pray, to make ruku, to make sujood, to do all of the acts of worship and all of the deeds of righteousness that we may achieve prosperity and how this, uh, this nation, as well as the nations that came before, who believed in Allah and followed their prophets were upon tawheed, all of them are known as Muslims.
Ahsan HanifHOST
2:13
So Allah azzawajal commands us to establish the salah, give the zakah, and to seek Allah's protection.
Ahsan HanifHOST
2:21
So we begin with, inshallah ta'ala, in today's episode, the twenty-third chapter of the Quran, Surah Al-Mu'minun, or The Believers, and it consists of one hundred and eighteen verses, and it is a Makki surah.

10 MINS LATER

Ahsan HanifHOST
12:23
Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala then says in verse number And who guard their chastity and their modesty meaning that they don't commit zina they don't do anything which will take away from them their modesty because the believer is the one that is modest and we will see this inshallah ta'ala in more detail in the following surah in surah tun-nur.
Ahsan HanifHOST
12:45
Modesty and chastity that you're careful what you look at that you're careful in terms of what you listen to that you're careful in terms of where you place your desires that is something which Allah Azzawajal has commanded us with to be chaste and to be people of modesty.
Ahsan HanifHOST
13:01
So that is why we have in our religion things like lowering your gaze things like the hijab for the women and the jilbab things like even for men in the way that they dress that it can't be too tight or too revealing of their body parts things like for example segregation in our religion that there shouldn't be free mixing of the different genders where people become extremely familiar with the other person unless there's a need to speak to someone or a need to address them or something that you need from them just this open kind of free mixing that you often find in societies in the west that's something which isn't good in Islam because what it leads to is shaitan being able to come in as the prophet said sallallahu alayhi wa sallam a man and a woman are never alone except that shaitan is the third with them shaitan whispers and shaitan brings into people's minds certain things and so therefore Allah Azzawajal has given to us in our sharia those things that will ward us and keep us away from that which will compromise our modesty and chastity so these are people who preserve their modesty they don't commit zina they don't do anything which is untoward and if they need to do that they do it in the way that Allah Azzawajal has legislated and made halal as Allah Azzawajal then says in verse number Except with their spouses or their slaves with these they are not to blame meaning that this Allah Azzawajal has made halal the wives that you have your husbands these are relationships that Allah Azzawajal has made halal and legislated for you and the slave girls that they used to have towards the beginning of Islam that is also something which Allah Azzawajal has made halal and permissible and so therefore that's something which is not blameworthy but to express your carnal desires in a different way and other than that which Allah Azzawajal mentioned Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala has made that haram even within marriage there are certain things that are not befitting for the Muslim such as for example anal intercourse or for example approaching one's wife when she is on her monthly cycle and so on these are known in the rulings of Islam so look at how this surah when Allah Azzawajal is describing the success of the believers he mentions them in terms of their salah he mentions them in terms of their financial obligations and he mentions them in terms of preserving their tongues and their limbs their body parts from that which will harm others because when you speak and you speak with words that aren't beneficial you often say things that will hurt others and if you commit zina then you are often harming people and their families and those relations of theirs that people do haram with so Allah and that is what Allah Azzawajal then says in verse number But anyone who seeks more than this is exceeding the limits meaning anyone that goes beyond that which Allah made halal of marriage and slave girls then these people have gone beyond the limits meaning that they have done what is haram and therefore Allah Azzawajal has made haram anything else other than the nikah that Allah Azzawajal has legislated with all of its conditions and all of its components that make it an obligation because in that there is the preservation of lineage and in that there is upholding of rights one right to another whereas when the when it's done outside of the bonds of marriage and outside of this sacred relationship or this relationship that Allah Azzawajal has sanctified or made sacred in terms of the rights that are involved therein then people can often oppress one another as you often see in different types of relationships in which there is no marriage Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala then says in verse number 8 describing another characteristic of the believers Who are faithful to their trusts and pledges these are people who fulfill their words their covenants their pledges their promises the oaths that they've taken and the greatest of those pledges and trusts is the one that they took with Allah Azzawajal that they would worship him alone the pledge of tawheed and then they fulfill the other pledges that are upon them of fulfilling the rights of the creator and the rights of the creation and so this is also something which is important as Allah Azzawajal mentions in Allah amurukum and to addul amanati ila ahliha Allah commands you to fulfill your trusts and your obligations so this is from the ways of the believer from the characteristics and the attributes of the mu'minun that they're people of trust they're people of integrity they're people who fulfill their responsibilities Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala then says in verse number nine, and who preserve their prayers.
Ahsan HanifHOST
17:39
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala began as the first attribute of the believers with the prayer, and He ends now with the last attribute that is mentioned in this passage with also the believers.

Thereafter, while the Imam is standing and reciting, the Muqtadi will remain silent, he will not recite Ta'awud and Bismillah, Surah Fatiha, Surah.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
3:39
Then the Imam will go into Ruku by saying Allahu Akbar, the Muqtadi will also go into Ruku by saying Allahu Akbar and both will read the Tazbih Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
3:50
When rising from Ruku, the Imam will say, And the Imam and the Muqtadi will say Rabbana wa lak alhamd.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
3:58
Then they will make the Takbir to go into Sajdah.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
4:01
And in the final sitting for the Qaeda Ullah, there will be Tashahud.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
36:42
and thereafter, while the imam is standing, after reciting silently, remain silent, and do not recite ta'awud, bismillah, surah fatihah, or another surah.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
36:51
In ruku, the person, the muqtadi, will make the takbir to move to ruku, by verbalizing it, and then say, subhanarabbi al-a'la, subhanarabbi al-azim, then when rising, rabbana wa laqal hamd, hamdan kathiran tayyiban, mubarakan fi, in sajda, subhanarabbi al-a'la, between the two sajdas, rabbi ghafir wa rahamnu, So, in the Hanafi Madhab, the Imam's recitation suffices for the follower.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
37:27
Even in the silent Salahs, the same basic principle regarding recitation is followed.
Yusuf MoosagieGUEST
37:34
As for the Shafi Madhab, the ruling is different.
