I would call this Missy Elliott's take on Hollaback Girl, like that song has a strong marching band vibe.

And I'm always struck by hearing Robbie Williams talk about Rudebox, the album that tanked his career and him being like, completely convinced it was the greatest album ever made.

And I'm always like, have I made Rudebox? So, yeah, it is difficult seeing, you know, people tear into your work or celebrate it.

The thing is, it's impossible to escape criticism in any aspect of life, whether you're the regional HR manager for a manufacturing company or a rock band, you're going to have someone criticizing your work.

And I think it's important to accept all that stuff with you know gratitude for the people who do like it and just accept that the people who don't like it don't like it and not to take it too personally because i think that's i i know a lot of musicians and i think there's a lot of people who don't take that criticism in a very healthy way and it's difficult because you know when you're online it's very difficult to escape that it's not like you can't you know you might be able to not intentionally not look at reviews but you'll still inevitably encounter discourse around your band on like facebook or reddit or any of these kind of places and i think just genuinely accepting that you know people don't like your band not seeing them as haters not seeing it as something personal i think it's yeah it's good good for the ego to have the occasional drubbing i think yes
