Every business school has different people on their admissions teams and different admissions philosophies.

But what I've done literally for over 4,000 applicants from around the world is provide an MBA admissions rubric to help you guys understand or at least give you some guidance on what admissions directors might be thinking, are probably thinking, when they say holistic, right? So if you go to touchmba.com, we actually scored you on this 15-point scale.

And while, of course, Harvard Business School is probably not using my exact 15-point rubric, neither is INSEAD and probably not NUS as well, I would gather that it's pretty close.

I think most top business schools are looking for similar things, and I'm gonna get to that in this episode.

My view, having been an MBA admissions director and having put together three full-time MBA classes, it's my view that most top business schools are evaluating you along three dimensions when they mention holistic, okay? The first dimension is academic aptitude.

To achieve them.

All right, let's move to the last bucket, ambassadorial potential.

And again, the questions to answer here are, will your classmates, alumni, and professors be excited to have you as part of the tribe? Is the school confident that you'll represent the program well with employers who are recruiting and as an alumni? In our rubric, what we score you for here is, have you shown leadership at work? Have you shown leadership outside of work? Do you have a unique perspective to share? Do you have self-awareness? Do you have cross-cultural international experience? And do you have strong evidence to be a unique net contributor to the program? That probably all sounds pretty straightforward.

You've got everything.

So just kind of taking that time to stay on top of the evaluation itself, the, the Rubric or whatever it is the school has for filling out.

I think that saves you time in the long run from scratching your head and trying to think at the very last minute like, "Oh, what happened and how can I support this particular grade that I'm giving the student?" Or, or a final eval or something along those lines.

And, and I also think when you have a lot of students that come through, I, I can't be the only one who sometimes would stop and say, "Wait a minute.
