Yeah, and there's a little bit of tension as well between a section of the fans and the ownership.
R
35:01Raf DialloHOST
And this is just an excerpt from Barry Landy's report on the RT website because he was covering the match for ourselves.
R
35:07Raf DialloHOST
And he said, or he wrote, prior to kickoff, home supporters unfurled a banner taking aim at owners Travella in which they implored the US-based owners to relinquish control of the club.
R
35:16Raf DialloHOST
Tensions have risen between sections of the supporter base and the Travella group in recent months while former chairperson Joanna Byrne had previously acted as a conduit between the new owners and draw this ultra fan section it was a notable first public display display of discontent towards the owners from the fan base since their takeover in late 2023 you know whatever about that situation alan i suppose from kevin darty's point of view obviously yes to kind of park that but it's not ideal having all that sort of stuff going on in the background

Four wins and three draws in the last seven.

it's enough I know the European campaign leads you to believe it's been a poor season which it probably has been on that front but winning the league with a team in transition and doing it I wouldn't say easily but you know mid to easy level I think they're only going to get stronger and when you look at Bowers and Pats and you think they'll get stronger and they'll give us a title race these lads are gaining more and more experience every game they play so yeah I think if you can't catch Rovers this season they're going to be stronger even again next season so it's looking ominous for me.
R
54:46Raf DialloHOST
Yeah and obviously Rory Gaffney has been confirmed now he's retired lovely tribute from Owen Doyle actually on the RT website on Friday just in terms of he was saying he was almost jealous of the way Gaffney played the game because of course Owen Doyle was like a penalty box predator we loved how Gaffney would sort of he'd be all over the place down the channels dropping deep etc but What are they losing in terms of, obviously, he hasn't been part of the picture this season, but what are they losing?
K
55:11Keith TreacyGUEST
Yeah, it's difficult.

But I never even thought before I got my first iPhone that I could... check emails, never even send a WhatsApp or even be, I never even thought I'd be on Facebook or Instagram or just having access to all those apps like navigation apps, the journal apps, news apps, RT players, just so much out there.

I remember I just had a little Nokia phone, as I said in a previous episode that I was just literally just remember the ABC was the second was number two and then was DEF number three just being able to like send the text and then have my magnifying glass just to look at the screen to make sure it was okay before I'd send it and like I would memorize people's phone numbers off my head like and just dial them rather than going down through the phone book so definitely having all having the iPhone out which I couldn't even tell you I just know my own number phone number of my mum's and my sister's and one or two more like don't ask me any of your numbers because literally you know you don't need that kind of information anymore it's literally just a double tap of a button you'd be able to call someone so definitely my iphone has changed my world so much to be honest
