Uh-huh.

This is a, uh, feather RP2040 with a LoRa 900 megahertz module that you can use to, uh, run a LoRaWAN stack or just LoRa, which, you know, is i- its own protocol.
L
3:46Limor FriedSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
You don't need to run LoRaWAN, which is a, a, a type of, uh, software stack that runs on LoRa.
L

Um, 900 megahertz means you can tune it down to 868 or up to 915, and then just pick the right antenna and you're gonna still get about 20 dBm output.
L
4:02Limor FriedSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
Um, you st- have all the feather pins that you expect, um, four analog pins and things like 20 total GPIO.

STEMIQT on the end there, you can plug in sensors, OLEDs, whatever.

NeoPixels, eight megabytes of flash, um, that nice RP2040 core, which will work great with MicroPython, CircuitPython or Arduino.

U.FL antenna, um, and the FCC IC certified, uh, SX1276-based, um, uh, Semtech LoRa module.

So I have a couple of them now.
J
29:19JeffHOST
Um, but they require a specific controller to do everything for, I found this last week, someone has made an RP 2040 adapter, uh, to do all the breath control and the embouchure control and everything else and translate it over to MIDI so you can just plug it into a synthesizer and you can use it as a full-fledged controller now.
J
29:42JeffHOST
Um...
V

MIDI is going to go down as one of the longest lived interface protocols, everything in history.

hundred percent.
J
29:49JeffHOST
Yeah.
J

But yeah, no, you can basically create a cable with an RP 2040 in line that just siphons, you know, a couple of picowatts of power off of it and, and does all the PWM conversion for the MIDI signal that it generates and, and reads the embouchure and reads the breath and everything else.

And we'll do all the, the, the, the, intonation and stuff that you need for it.
