Now, you know, we have this strange hot and cold thing in our society and our culture where it's hard for us to pace these issues, right? Like I think players should have gotten paid, especially your basketball and football guys, the high revenue generating athletes.

That was something that needed to be done because back when I went to college, you remember, you couldn't even get a sweatshirt from your – From your college, you couldn't even get a meal or a ride across campus.

You'd be suspended indefinitely for a season sometimes or maybe half a season.

It was crazy.

So what is the reality of the situation? Are they going to let you play? Because I know that they had a big, uh, you know, secret meeting, some clandestine meeting with Cathy Engelbert, and have you got any, you know, inside information on whether or not you're actually gonna be able to be drafted?

Well, I'm being represented by the great Matt Gates, so that, that's, that's awesome.

And, uh, I, I trust him to do a great job from the legal aspect.

You couldn't ask for a better, uh, point man when it comes to, uh, being an attorney for something like this.

Uh, I think they're coming up on draft eli- eligibility, uh, declarations, and things of that nature.

I'm not very familiar with the WNBA's process when it comes to draft eli- eligibility and, and what they do in the off-season, so we'll see.

What do you have to say about that?

Does this have anything about your NBA career being over, and you know what, you say, "This is a place I can make some money and I can still compete here"?

[laughs] Well, that's, that's a conversation for an entirely different day.

My NBA career shouldn't be over either, and maybe I'm the first transgender athlete to play in both leagues, 'cause I certainly think I'm still serviceable in the NBA.

You could ask some of the perennial all-stars like, uh, like Draymond Green.

He had a great comment last year about, about where I would be today if I was playing in the NBA.

So yeah, but I, I mean I think yeah, 50-year-old f- retired NBA players could certainly, uh, transition to the WNBA game rather easily.

It, it, it just so happens that I'm just outside the prime of my athletic career and I, and I just...

Do you think the WNBA will ultimately let you and Enes Kanter Freedom, and any other former NBA player, G League player, anybody that's playing overseas in China, uh, register for the draft?

Was that the right thing to do as a coach, especially when it seems to target a player of the opposing team who has opposing views?

Look, I think we're going through a reality test across all professional sports leagues.

What is up? What is down? What is real? What is fake? You know, I have a $20 wig and it's doing me a great service in my transition.

Is it real or is it not? It's hard to say.

Is it real in a way that can quantify or be seen as the same as if I grew it myself? These are the questions.

I mean, we have come to a point in society where we have to You know, fortunately or unfortunately, we have to ask these questions and answer these questions.

I'm willing to stand in the gap and ask the questions, and I'm willing to give the answers.

So tell us about why, I mean, I know why you came out with it, but what do we hope this does for the conversation that's surrounding men and women's sports, I suppose we should say.

Uh, I'm wondering if you are being received kindly by the WNBA, uh, hierarchy.

Well, not so far.

I mean, they've almost, uh, completely denied my trans existence, and I think that's tantamount to genocide.

It's, it's hateful.

It's harmful to my fellow trans, uh, BIPOC trans, uh, trans adjacent activists and, and everybody else up and down the line who have put in so much time, effort and sacrifice to, to, to uplift, uh, and make safe trans people.

So the WNBA's all but, but denied my existence and, and again, that's, that's tantamount to genocide.

And I only think he won in 2016 because he caught the powers that be completely off guard.

They were so arrogant and sure that they were gonna hand the world over to, to Hillary Clinton and the rest of her deep state friends, uh, that they didn't, they didn't take President Trump serious enough to worry about cheating him.

They didn't think they had to... needed a broad, you know, nationwide plan to cheat President Trump in 2016, and, and it happened too quick as you rolled into the night and it was, it was over.

There was no way to implement a cheating strategy.

But in the WNBA, how much of your three-point shot are you going to have to use, or do you think you're going to be able to just take the ball and go straight to the rim every time?

I've always been a very versatile player, and now I'm very versatile in my gender fluidity.

I think as far as the everyday Minnesota resident, I think the political polarity is so bad.

There are a lot of Democrats in the state that would accept the fraud that has taken place under the Democrats.
