Royal Rumble

This one lasted about five minutes, and it was ok- I'll just say it was okay, but that's about as [laughs] far as I can go with that.

Moving into 1989, Warrior would start a feud with "Ravishing" Rick Rude over the Intercontinental Championship, and the feud was sparked at the 1989 Royal Rumble, where the two met in a super pose down After Warrior drew the support of the live crowd and, and the audience's judging of the contest, Rude attacked Ultimate Warrior and choked him with a steel bar.

All right, so [laughs] so the super pose down, um, it definitely was not s- was not super, and it was basically they did three different poses.

Ravishing Rick Rude would start off the pose, and he would have his entrance music playing.

This is, you know, it's kind of weird that you would rather help Hogan to the back than, you know, Talk with me and deal with me.

So the dissension grows a little more as we head towards our next pay-per-view, which is the 1989 Royal Rumble.

But first, one day before the Royal Rumble, January 14th, 1989, Randy Savage would be defending his WWF title against Bad News Brown at the Philadelphia Spectrum.
