Well, I mean, in all honesty, it's because I took the Resilience course.

And the reason why I took the Resilience course is because I know we don't like labels, but I'm a sensitive striver.

I am that kind of person where I work hard, I try to do really great work, and I feel things deeply.

And so one of the things I wanted to do with taking that course was do a better job of really understanding how I'm showing up and doing some work in terms of regulating myself.

And then, you know, then this book came out on managing up, and the book was about, okay, now that you've figured that out, now how do you develop that expertise to be able to understand the others in the room, and not expect them to walk towards you, but to do a more effective job of walking towards them? And that's really what I found was so powerful about the book because you just don't get taught that in business school, and you don't get taught that in a lot of executive courses.

And I think the book, I think in my mind, is a bit of a tour de force in that it really does an exceptional job of decoding and really democratizing what happens behind closed doors amongst executives, the way that they speak, the things that they get, that they say, so that you now know how to adjust yourself so that you can get the things that you want executed within your organization.

How did you do that differently? How did you approach it differently now than you might have in the past to pu- to push it through and have that success?
