Routeburn Track

It w- it was the original great ride, and it's, um, set the scene for a lot of the rides that are all over New Zealand now, and make for a pretty ph- phenomenal tourism product.

So what, what makes it a great ride? People will be familiar with the great walks, things like the Routeburn Track and the Milford Track and stuff.

What, what makes a great ride?

Uh, there is a, a designation for great rides.

And how cool is the Milford Track to be, like, one of y- like, your first hike? Like, that probably set the bar quite high.

I think it did, and I think it is one of the best, along with probably the Routeburn.

And I really rate the Restart, uh, which I've only done once, and I'd love to go back and do that again and maybe a couple more times.

I think that that's incredibly scenic, that part of the country.

Um, but I would say, you know, start with like ...

This is mean of me to say, I'm not saying they're bad walks at all, but, like, the Rakiura is probably, um, kind of one of the more basic ones.

Maybe the Heaphy, you know, and then work through to things like the Milford and the Routeburn, or do it the other way around.

I mean, you know, they're great experiences no matter what.

Like, people...

Obviously there's a- adventure tourism around there, like people do the Milford Track and the, and the, the Routeburn Track and all those other places around there.

So people are very active with their lifestyle.

Um, but the little wee township's really nice.
