I've just looked it up.

I'm actually looking for a B&B at the moment to stay there.

I can't remember it offhand at the moment what the explanation is, but because of something in the area.

And you take a place like Roundwood on Talker is the Irish name.

And if you see Talker in any name, it means that there was... a crossing there, a bridge.

It really boils down to a bridge.

And in the early, way back in the early centuries, there was no such thing as bridges, of course.

You threw down trees and stones and crossed the water.

So obviously in Roundwood, there was water flowing from the mountain way down towards the other part of Wicklow.

and apparently it must have been a path and people crossed there and as a result they built this bridge themselves and they walked over the stones and the trees or whatever and then it became the talker and there are several of those in Wicklow which always indicates that it was a place where water passed through.
