Rotting Out

in 2013 or 2014 when they were touring on What You Don't See.

It was story so far, Stick to Your Guns, Such Gold, Rotting Out, and Souvenirs.

And it was an amazing tour.

And honestly, when I think about that tour, it's one of the tours that I think has set up the blueprint of the modern music way that bands in our space tour because that bill was extremely mixed and at the time i don't remember bills being as severely mixed like rotting out people were beating each other's asses our band they were standing around there trying to follow the riffs stick to your guns you know like and then story so far it was high energy and things all in a big family together but but very mixed So I had known them since then, 2013, 2012 or 13.

And, you know, they fucking blew me away on that tour because of how obviously monstrous of writers, players, and visionaries they were.

So I, you know, as anyone in the subculture music business, like... you meet someone and you see them throughout the years every so often, you know? So we had maybe not necessarily lost touch, but like we weren't seeing each other all the time.

I think there was a lot more, um, just raw emotion from seeing different fans.

Um, like I remember like first hearing like Touche Amore, um, And seeing the difference of a band like that and then seeing a band like Trapped Under Ice or Rotting Out.

I remember going to see Rotting Out back when they were touring around Street Prowl.

And just hearing what Walter would say just about life and just everything, I was like, man, this is like, I don't hear this from the other bands that I've heard back when I was going to like metal core death core shows and like warp tour and stuff like that.

It was all very negative in a way that it wasn't, it wasn't real.

all time um uh from like back when i was younger you'd say

rotting out was a huge influence on me because i was around one of the main bands that when i really really got into hardcore um that really had a lot of influence on me um Uh, one of my favorite bands is me without you.

You know, those were the shows we had, you know.

And, you know, like, we'd rarely get a band like Rotting Out coming through and be like, oh.

But, like, when we were kids, like, going to shows, I started going to shows when I was 12, you know, like, I would go to the Christian metalcore shows because that's what I could find and that's what there was.

So once that wave died, once everyone was like, all right, this sucks, you know, as waves go, it got really bad.
