... like, a couple times on this tour, I'm like, "Yeah, let me check out the new record," you know? Just, like, to see, and I'm like, "Wow, it's fucking really good," you know? Like, for us to collectively be on board with that and say, "Yeah, we're happy with every aspect of this record from, uh, the delivery, the performance, the production," is unheard of in this band.

Like w- you know, we, we never come out of a record project, you know, a recording, where we're just like, all like, "Yeah, that's great." You know what I'm saying? We're all like, "Yeah, it's cool, but I wish we coulda done this," or, "I wish this woulda come out a little better," or, or whatever it is, you know? And that's, you know, never n- i- it's not a knock to the other releases.

Like, we- we're very proud of everything we've done, but, like, there was something, like, special about this one.

I, I can't put my finger on it, but I think just the whole vibe of it, the feeling, the, the-You know, it's like, to me it was like, "Wow, sonically it's perfect for, for this band." Like, this-

... yeah.

You know, to me that's the best sign.

Vengeful Winds was the first one that he wrote, and that I, and that we all heard, you know? When I heard it, I was like, "Wow, first track's a good one, kid." I said, "This is gonna be a hard, it's gonna be hard to top that one," you know, eight or nine more times, you know? So, you know, a- and I thought that that first song really captured everything this band was about, you know? The intensity right out of the gate.
