We used to feed on the grassy bank, go into their area and sometimes into the wood and scatter food and that clearly disturbed them.

And the Cotswold Wildlife team told us to stick to a routine in terms of time and place.

so now we use this path doesn't disturb the wood the lake and the grassy area where the non-flyers reside and as a result since then they've started mating and having chicks of their own so it's paid dividends that routine has paid dividends
