Because I loved the, the New Zealand products that I got to, uh, enjoy that I hadn't had in a number of months, but also because I could use it to, uh, share the New Zealand experience with other countries that had soldiers deployed on the operation I was on.

Chief of Army Rose King says it's a morale boost.

It makes a huge difference knowing at Christmas when you're away from your loved ones, that people have remembered you and that they care about you, and it, uh, it just really adds to the morale, uh, when you're serving so far away from home.

And it's not just food going into the boxes.
