Roosevelt National Forest

We spent a week in Montana backpacking, and we were in the mountains of western North Carolina at the retreat center for two or three years and finally settled on a cabin that had been in my family in Montana.

northern Colorado in a narrow mountain valley called Soul Park, which is the Roosevelt National Forest is to the north and Rocky Mountain National Park is to the south.

It's the Dry Creek Fire burning southeast of South Sheep Mountain, north of Highway 7 in Roosevelt National Forest lands.

There's an evacuation warning for the Dry Creek Street Rain Trail area west of Lyons, easy for me to say.

Button Rock Preserve is also closed in the area.
