Room to Read

Like, what does that even mean? Are you a robot? You're basically admitting you just turned off your brain and your empathy to see if you could steal a phrase from everyone else.

Then she says she's officially dropping the trademark, but right after that, she pulls a massive pivot and says she's still going to sell the sweaters, but all the money is going to charities like Room to Read and Read to Feed.

Um, as for the Hot Girls Read apparel that I have on the shelves, it is currently up on my site with all profits being donated to two different charities, Room to Read and Read and Feed, which I also have linked in my bio.

Seriously, the charity pivot is the oldest trick in the book.

You get caught doing something terrible, you realize you're about to get sued, so you immediately say, "Look, I'm donating the money.

So I worked on three children's books.

One was with a nonprofit organization called Room to Read.

Another one was with a small publisher with,

ah, what's their name?

So it's his story and his journey.

It's his story from literally how he left Microsoft to set up Room to Read.

And so having read that book, there was an email address at the back that said, you know, if you want to join Room to Read or be part of the movement, you know, reach out.

And I did.

And they wrote back to me to say there's nothing in Sydney like that we're doing.

And I loved that how he thought about it and the people at Runtory thought about it as a business.

It wasn't just a passion it was very much so we need to make this work and so that really resonated with me.

So you worked with them for a long for them and led them for a long time? For eight years of my my life was was part of Room to Read in Sydney it was right right up until a point when I thought okay I can move on to the next thing but it was yeah very much so from that book led to the next eight years
