Romeo

And so there were all of these DJs who were putting together, you know, Smells Like Teen Spirit and Bootylicious.

Um, another, one really great one is, um, The Clash's Magnificent Seven and Romeo by Basement Jaxx.

But, um, there was a DJ who at the time called himself Girls On Top who had put together Gary Numan's Are Friends Electric and Adina Howard's Freak Like Me.

And a couple of years, you know, very shortly after actually, um, the British girl band Sugababes, who were already in their second iteration having lost member Siobhan Donaghe and gained, um, Heidi Range, they decided to, uh, work with the Girls On Top, now known as Richard X, um, and they put out their own version of Freak Like Me, and it was called, uh, Freak Like Me.

You keep on giving me the hold up.

This track that you're currently listening to is called Romeo the Club Mix by Basement Jacks, another staple DJ from the house scene.

Kalele La Rock off of the Lost tracks.

For those of you who are maybe hearing that a little bit, this song was sampled by Pink Panthers off of her 2025 album, off of the song Let It Go.
