Romelle Donovan

Bristol City won 14 tackles, and Sheffield United won 10 tackles.

The match also saw a substitution for Sheffield United in the 79th minute because of an injury, with Romel Donovan replacing Mark McGuinness.

Beyond that, the game remained goalless after Arblaster's early strike.

Prior to this game, Sheffield United sat in 11th place in the league table with 15 points from 11 games, having won 4, drawn 3, and lost 4, with a goal difference of plus 1.

As I say, there is a chance that he starts on the bench.

But in his place is a young man called Romel Donovan, who's on loan from Brentford.

Young winger, tricky winger, small in stature, but very quick, very direct, loves to get forward.

And unlike some young wingers who may try something once and get, or a couple of times get fouled and then the head goes down, he's always looking to go forward.

So that has to be the formations that go because we haven't got anybody.

I know you can try Romel Donovan there.

I'm not against that at all.

You could try Chong there because he's played there for his country.

Sometimes you might think, well, we're not going to go to West Ham and play 4-3-3 because they're absolutely white floor with us.

Well, if your two wide men at the top of the pitch are Burton Diaz and Romel Donovan, which they could be, tucked in closer to, say, Bamford or Cannon, then you can bring them out a little bit and make a 4-5-1 quite easily, can't you? So the defensive shape...

can be different to the in-possession shape.

But also, you can have a few backups in this as well.

Or McCallum could drop in and be your left centre half if you want to bring Burrows into the mix, if he's fit.

Calvin Phillips gets in every sort of incarnation or formation of our side.

Rommel Donovan should not be dropped from the side.

You should always find a way to get him in.

They were having to sort of scour the free agent and loan markets to try and plug really important gaps that had opened up in their squad and I think you look at that Sheffield United squad now and obviously the recent defeat to Stoke and it feels like a very functional team I don't think there's a a whole load of flair and excitement.

You've got Romel Donovan in alone from Brentford, and I've liked what I've seen from him early doors, but he only came on very, very late at Stoke on Saturday.

I don't think he's got the full trust to be a regular starter, yet there also might be a case of managing his minutes as a young player.

Aside from him, you've got plenty of experience in that side.
